Registered as a Swedish nonprofit organization in February 2025, the Secure Identity Research Organizations (SIROS) Foundation mission is to create a next-generation digital identity platform for the internet. Our name is inspired by Sirius, the brightest star in the night sky – a symbol of guidance for users navigating the digital world.
Our open-source foundation is built on the wwWallet, an internet-first digital identity wallet co-developed with GUnet, Sunet, and Yubico. We are committed to open standards, strong encryption, and user control – all without sacrificing ease of use or compliance with evolving regulations like eIDAS 2.0.
