SIROS ID

.

SIROS ID is our next step in making digital identity practical, open, and adaptable. Built on the foundation of wwWallet, it gives governments, enterprises, and communities a way to deploy their own wallet services without relying on closed platforms. SIROS ID is flexible enough for national programs, straightforward enough for enterprise use, and always anchored in open standards.

Digital identity today faces a difficult balance: governments and enterprises want trusted credentials that scale, but most solutions are tied to proprietary ecosystems. This creates risks of vendor lock-in, uneven user experiences, and limited interoperability across borders. SIROS ID provides a different path.

  • Freedom from lock-in – wallets that run on open standards, not proprietary platforms.

  • Scalable trust – from local deployments to global networks, backed by OpenID Federation.

  • Simplified integration – issuers and verifiers connect through a common trust layer.

  • Privacy and security by design – every instance is isolated and built to international standards.

Who it’s for

  • Governments: deploy national or regional wallets with confidence that they will interoperate internationally.

  • Enterprises: provide secure, standards-based wallet services for employees or individuals.

  • Developers: work with open infrastructure designed for practical use and long-term sustainability.

How it works

SIROS ID enables organizations to connect issuers and verifiers using their own trust infrastructure, or to rely on SIROS ID’s trust layer, built on OpenID Federation.

Each instance within the platform is fully independent, giving every organization a complete wallet infrastructure — whether for a country, a corporation, or something in between.

High level user journey

Linking a government issued identity to the ID wallet

We are building on the proven OpenID4VP, OpenID4VCI and ISO 18013-5 standards for transferring data between government issued documents, such as passports and ID cards, electronic devices and the ID wallet. SIROS ID will also offer optional liveness verification. We support both web and proximity flows for presentation.

Adding credentials

Using the ID wallet application via the web through native apps, the user can add any number of credentials. Besides the fundamental government-issued identity, users can enrich their ID wallet with payment solutions and additional credentials including academic affiliations, professional licenses, or organizational memberships.

Sharing information on demand

When accessing a service, users can choose to share only the specific credential(s) required. As an example, for accessing an online game, a user can prove that they are above the required age,  without disclosing their full date of birth or other personal details.

Verified yet anonymous

SIROS ID enables selective disclosure, meaning users can be verified as a real human person but  remain anonymous. Users remain in control of their personal information while still meeting the trust requirements of the service they are accessing.
